This webinar will provide key information on funding, supports, and guidance on how to engage with your Local Enterprise Office and the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway Network. Rockfield Medical Devices founder Tomas Thompson will share his experience as a client of the technology centre and other early stage start up supports as part of the webinar. Tomas leads the team at Rockfield in developing a pipeline of innovative tube feeding products that transform user’s mobility & quality of life.

The Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway Network is a network of 16 specialised Gateways and sectoral clusters, delivering innovation, expertise and solutions for Irish industry. The Applied IOT, Irish FoodTech and Engineering Materials and Design (EMD) clusters, comprise of multiple gateways working together to provide specialist support and expertise. Operated in partnership with the Institutes of Technology and Technological Universities, they offer access to the academic and technological expertise within each institute.


The Enterprise Ireland Medical and Engineering Technologies (MET) Gateway is an applied research centre, dedicated to supporting Research, Development and Innovation activities in the MedTech, LifeSciences and Engineering Sectors. Located at the GMIT Galway campus, the MET Technology Gateway provides open access for industry to the academic expertise within GMIT, who generate solutions for close-to-market needs for companies.
