Dr Conor MacCormack of Mcor Technologies Innovate Drogheda

Dr Conor MacCormack, Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer of Mcor Technologies, will be speaking at the 'Innovate Drogheda: Printing' Talk on 13th November, which will take place at The Mill Drogheda Enterprise Centre.

MCOR Technologies is a fast growing, innovative technology organization, focusing on 3D printing and manufacturing the only 3D printers to use ordinary business-A4 / letter paper as the build material, a choice that renders durable, stable and tactile models.  In June 2014, Mcor announced that they received funding of $12million from US Investment firm, WHEB. Mcor managed a 300% increase in sales of their low cost, 'True Colour' 3D Printer in 2013, and continue to grow their market, product portfolio, and workforce.

The company was founded in 2005 by two brothers – Conor and Fintan MacCormack, who share the vision of a future where everyone can easily turn their ideas into low-cost, full-colour, safe and eco-friendly 3D objects. Today, the portfolio of 3D works performed with the use of their printers includes houses, dinosaurs, iphones and even food!

Dr Conor MacCormack will be visiting The Mill Drogheda Enterprise Centre to talk about the company and the future of 3D Printing. Frank Gallagher, the Drogheda Historian, will join Dr. MacCormack at the event to talk about Drogheda's rich past in relation to the Printing sector. Drogheda has a strong tradition of printing over the past two centuries, and still includes a number of the largest printing firms in Ireland.

The Innovate Drogheda series of Talks highlights Drogheda's Innovative Past, and the need to continue to develop entrepreneurs in the region.
