This half day workshop is designed to advise businesses of the supports available to explore and develop new market opportunities. Export case studies and expert advice on the Dutch and German market will be shared to help you in your preparations for exporting and exhibiting at trade shows. We will also discuss the supports available to you through the Enterprise Europe Network and the Local Enterprise Office Network including information and application forms for the Technical Assistance for Micro Exporters grant.

Steve Murnaghan, Managing Consultant, Netherlands Ireland Trade Consultants (NITC)

Established in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, in 1993, by Managing Consultant Steve Murnaghan, today NITC offers a pan European service covering 25 European countries through a team of locally engaged consultants.

NITC specialises in researching markets, providing business intelligence, developing sales opportunities for clients leading to supply opportunities and longterm strategic partnerships. NITC delivers distribution partner as well as end user matchmaking.

Olivia Hausen, Head of PR & Lobbying German Irish Chamber

Olivia was born in Saarbruecken, Germany and spent most of her working life in Bavaria. She holds a Master degree in Information & Communication Science. She joined the German-Irish Chamber in October 2018. She is currently head of PR and Lobbying.

Olivia has a wealth of experience in PR, communications, sales and marketing. She has worked in the education sector, the arts, and the software industry. In addition to Germany and Ireland, Olivia has worked in San Francisco and London.

What is a Technical Assistance for Micro Exporters (TAME) Grant?

A TAME grant is a business development grant available to micro enterprises. A TAME grant will part fund the costs that can be incurred in investigating and researching export markets. The grant can cover 50% of eligible costs (excluding VAT) to a maximum of €2,500. For example:

  • Exhibiting at Trade Fairs,
  • Preparing marketing material and
  • Developing websites specifically targeting overseas markets.

All businesses are welcome to attend this trade engagement workshop.

Please note, following the workshop, the TAME grant application process including eligibility and criteria will be discussed with interested applicants. Eligibility for the TAME grant is limited to businesses with no more than 10 employees.
