SHOWCASING LOUTH’S CREATIVE TALENTS
Creative Companies from Louth show their wares at Showcase 2020
“Buyers from all over the world flock to Showcase every year. They know that they will find the very, very best of Irish design and crafts at Showcase. For 4 days in January, buyers will find weavers and jewellers, candle-makers and woodworkers and everything in between at the RDS” so says Sarah Mallon of the Local Enterprise Office Louth.
Some of the 5,000 buyers who attend Showcase 2020, will make their biggest purchasing commitments of the year at this event. They are looking for unique, handcrafted, Irish products to sell to their customers all over the world.
Louth County Council and the Local Enterprise Office Louth will use the event to showcase 3 emerging creative businesses from Louth. Emma Fallon from Emma’s So Naturals in Ardee and Cathal Durnin of Sea Remedies in Carlingford will be joined by Lisa Heeney from AromaBuff in Drogheda. They will be part of the Local Enterprise Showcase along with creative companies from all across the country.
Ardee’s Emma Fallon of Emma’s So Naturals is famed for her collection of natural, plant-based home fragrance products featuring her own blends of essential oils. “We’re looking forward to seeing our existing stockists at Showcase and meeting lots of potential new ones. We’re also really excited to launch our new collection of Pure Essential Aroma Diffuser Blends at Showcase 2020”.
Carlingford’s Cathal Durnin of Sea Remedies explains “Our collection of soaps and bath salts were born out of a love of the sea and all its goodness. We harvest wild local seaweed and purified seawater to make 100% natural products. Our range includes sea salts, sea soaps and seaweed baths. They are sold across Ireland, Spain, USA, Germany and Switzerland. We love to think of customers across the world using Sea Remedies to wash away their worries.”
Completing the line up on the Louth stand at Showcase is aromatherapist Lisa Heeney of AromaBuff, who is participating in Showcase for the very first time. “Our skin balms and butters smell good, feel good and do good. Designed for men and women, our skincare products are a delight for the senses and aim to support both physical and mental wellness. AromaBump, our new range of pregnancy specific products, will also be unveiled for the first time to buyers at Showcase.”
A host of established creative companies from Louth will attend Showcase 2020 this year including Edmund McNulty Knitwear and Brannigan Weavers (Drogheda), Celtic Valley Ceramics (Ardee) Sarah McKenna Ceramics and Soilse Candle Company (Dundalk) and Garrett Mallon Jewellery and Martina Scott Designs (Carlingford).

It’s wonderful to see local companies who started out in the Local Enterprise Showcase now exhibiting in their own right and supplying to retailers right across the world.
