Superior Supports for Local Retailers

Superior Supports for Local Retailers.

“The environment has never been so challenging for retail and therefore this training and mentoring programme matters more than ever.”

Speaking this week, Louth County Council’s Head of Enterprise Thomas McEvoy explained “Our first Superior Retail Development Programme is already underway with retailers from all over the county availing of mentoring, training and advice to help them navigate Covid, Brexit and Online trading.”

‘We are thrilled that this programme filled up so fast and we’re now announcing the opening of a second Superior Retail Development Programme.” Thomas continued.

“Starting in late February, this eight week program, is open to retailers all over county Louth and it’s completely free of charge. The aim of the programme is to help retail businesses cope with the impact of Brexit and Covid-19, and the challenges they face from online competition.”

The programme will include assessment of business performance, mystery shopping reports, training, workshops, online masterclasses and one-to-one mentoring. On completion, each business will have created a strategic recovery, growth & development plan to help drive their business forward. Each business will also be awarded a “Certificate in SME Management Practice” by the EU’s Training Foundation (ETF) and LEO.

Sessions take place one day a week, online, over eight weeks and are delivered by Optimum Results who have a selection of trainers with exceptional expertise.

Thomas continues “Places have already started to fill for this second programme, and they are limited, so don’t delay in signing up. Click here to view the brochure and find out more. To register, contact Amy Smyth in the Local Enterprise Office Louth by email  amy.smyth@leo.louthcoco.ie.

Thomas concluded “Local retailers know that the business landscape has changed. While this can be a challenging and sometimes overwhelming prospect, it’s also a chance to  innovate, break the mould and do things differently. If you’re in retail, and want to make change but don’t know where to start, sign up for our Superior Retailing Programme and allow your Local Enterprise Office to support and help your business through these changing times.”
