“It’s that time of year again, time to get out of the office, factory or shop and join us for Local Enterprise Week Louth from 4-8th March” so says Head of Enterprise Thomas McEvoy.

Running your own business is a challenge. But the team at the Local Enterprise Office Louth are there to help every step of the way. For Enterprise Week 2019, they have put together a great programme of free events to help local business people learn, network and grow their business.

Thomas outlines “We start on Monday 4th March with a half-day conference at The Mill Enterprise Hub in Drogheda focused on helping businesses to grow and scale. Our very special guest speaker will be Martin McVicar, founder of Combilift.”

The one-to-one entrepreneur clinics on Tuesday at the Regional Development Centre at DkIT are designed to help business owners overcome their own individual challenges.

On Tuesday and Wednesday business consultant Orla McDonnell will deliver top hacks to help business owners to grow their business quickly. These sessions will take place in Dunleer on Tuesday and Creative Spark Dundalk on Wednesday.

A breakfast seminar on Wednesday morning hosted by M1 Skillnet and Drogheda Chamber will help business owners learn how inclusion is good for their business.

Food Producers in the region will benefit from an intensive session with Aidan Byrne, The Food Accountant, to help improve efficiency and margins.

Love a good book? Join the Drogheda Business Book Club and author Yanky Fachler on Wednesday evening at The Mill Drogheda for a dynamic and lively discussion on business strategy.

Thomas continues “Join us online on Twitter Facebook and YouTube on Wednesday 6th March at 7.30om as Rob Marr interviews some of Louth’s top young business people ahead of the closing date for the 2019 Ireland’s best young entrepreneur competition.”

Dundalk Chamber will host a Cyber Security breakfast on Thursday morning, in conjunction with PwC.

On Thursday, the eve of International Women’s Day, join Network Louth for an energising evening seminar focus on leadership in business delivered by Orlaith Carmody.

And the highlight of the week will be the Louth County Final of the National Enterprise Awards at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk where we will announce the company that will go forward to represent Louth at the National Enterprise Awards Finals in The Mansion House Dublin in May. Hosted by Alison Comyn, the event will also feature a keynote address by broadcaster and journalist Shane Coleman of Newstalk and will be a great networking opportunity.

Thomas concludes “Local Enterprise Week, from 4-8th March, is all about you and your business. We invite you to visit www.localenterprise.ie/louth and book yourself in for one or more of our learning and networking events. It’s important to take time out for you and your business and we look forward to seeing you at Local Enterprise Week Louth.”
