Construction 960x366

The Construction Products Regulations (CPR) came into effect on 1st July 2013 to harmonise the safety performance of construction products across the EU. They apply to products placed on the market in the EU, whether they are manufactured within the EU or imported. Since July 2014, Structural Steelwork and Aluminium now fall under the CPR and must carry CE marking to demonstrate that they comply with the harmonised standard EN1090-1:2009.  It is imperative that Irish SMEs and small businesses now prioritise the development of systems, processes and procedures to ensure their compliance with this standard which in turn will develop their competitiveness and help sustain employment.

Cavan and Monaghan Local Enterprise Offices are jointly running a specific programme comprising of two full day workshops and mentoring (up to 21 hours) that will assist those businesses that have to acquire this standard.

The first workshop will be held in Cavan Innovation & Technology Centre, Dublin Road, Cavan on Tuesday June 2nd 2015.
