Lorna Sixsmith

Lorna Sixsmith is a blogger and social media expert based in Carlow in South-East of Ireland. She has been blogging and using other social media platforms since 2007 and teaching businesses how to use social media for the last four years. A bit of a serial entrepreneur, Lorna is no stranger to the business world (worked as an interior designer, ran her own e-commerce store and now teaches social media) and has combined her business experience with her love of teaching (previously a secondary school teacher and lecturer at third level in Media Studies).  She particularly loves working with small and medium businesses, tailoring the training to their needs so they get the most out of the social media platforms they chose to use.

She has co-written a social media book  entitled 365 Social Media Tips, co-founded the KLCK Bloggers Network and Blog Awards Ireland - both of which focus on helping people improve their blogs and other social media usage. We Teach Social is a sister online-business (in association with Amanda of Spiderworking) where they teach social media courses online.

Lorna is married to a dairy farmer and has written a non-fiction humourous book entitled ‘”Would You Marry a Farmer?” which was inspired by her most popular post on her personal blog Irish Farmerette
