Business Training
Highlighting the business and legal value of inclusive workplaces, helping Irish employers remove barriers for disability and long-term health conditions.
Overview
In the evolving Irish SME landscape, companies are increasingly recognising that inclusive workplaces are not only a legal responsibility but a powerful driver of innovation, loyalty, and long-term success.
Irish Employers have a legal obligation under Irish equality and employment laws as well as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), to provide accessible, inclusive, and fair environments for employees with a disability or a long-term health condition. With approximately 22% of the Irish population reporting a long-lasting health condition, illness, or disability (Census 2022), many of which are non-visible, and with clear evidence that people with disabilities experience lower employment participation, it is vital that Irish businesses understand their role in removing barriers and creating accessible and inclusive workplaces that genuinely work for everyone.
Aims & Objectives
The aim of this workshop is to increase awareness and understanding of disability and long-term health conditions in the workplace, ensuring all employees contribute to a respectful and legally compliant environment
