Micro-Loan Fund for the Creative Industries – 9^th Call

The Western Development Commission has established a dedicated Micro-Loan Fund on a pilot basis for the Creative Industries Sector, allocating €1m over a three year period.

The Micro-Loan Fund will operate on a competitive ‘Call for Applications’ basis with four calls in 2014.  Loans of between €5,000 and €25,000 over 1 to 5 years at the EU reference rate for unsecured lending are available to successful applicants. Applications will be accepted from the first working day to the last working day of each quarter (March, June, September and December).

Q4 2014 Call for Applications closes on 31^st December, 2014.

The Micro-loan Fund is open to all businesses, both start-up and existing, in the Creative Industries Sector and includes the following sub-sectors: -

• Advertising
• Architecture
• Art/Antiques trade
• Crafts
• Design
• Digital media
• Fashion
• Internet and software
• Music, visual and performing arts
• Publishing
• Radio and TV broadcasting
• Video, film and photography
