Course Profile

This practical, hands-on workshop is designed to equip visual artists with the essential phone
photography and video capturing and editing skills needed to document their work and creative
process to confidently share their journey online.
The focus of the training is to demystify the documentation process, turning it from an after
thought into a seamless, disciplined part of your studio routine. Through interactive, in-person
exercises, participants will learn how to capture quality images that authentically represent their
art – whether for social media promotion, digital portfolios, or website publishing, – without
disrupting the creative momentum.

NOTE: This is an interactive, practical session. Participants are encouraged to bring a fully
charged smartphone with sufficient available storage space, and pre-installed photo and video
editing apps such as Edits or CapCut (video editing apps) and Lightroom Mobile (or similar
photo editing app of choice).

Course Content

• Getting Inspired: Finding and breaking down great references, scripting videos,
creating shot lists and moodboards.
• Photo and Video Capturing: Intentional approach to shooting (shot size, lens, angle,
camera movement, use of space, use of natural/ambient light).
• Photo Edting in Mobile Apps: Adding final touches to your image (adjusting frame,
contrast, colour, removing objects).
• Short-Form Video Edting: Practical session on video editing for social media.

Participant Profile

This workshop is open to visual artists working in any medium (including painters, sculptors, and
mixed-media creators) at any stage of their career. It is ideal for those who want to improve their
digital presence and promote their work independently.

Tutor Profile

Tigran is a Dublin based photographer and filmmaker with extensive background in digital
marketing. His creative work ranges from BTS photography to interview-based intimate video
portraits, including most recent work for Gerard Byrne Gallery.
