Entries to Blas na hÉireann, the Irish Food Awards, are now open, inviting producers from across Monaghan to take part in the largest competition celebrating quality Irish food and drink. Now in its 19th year, Blas na hÉireann is recognised as the definitive benchmark for excellence in Irish produce, honouring the makers who shape Ireland’s dynamic food landscape. The awards culminate in the vibrant Blas Village in Dingle, which each year becomes a national meeting point for the food sector, offering producers the opportunity to showcase their products, meet customers and engage directly with key industry buyers on a national stage.

The scale of the awards continues to grow, with more than 3,000 products entered in 2025 across over 200 categories, judged through the largest blind tasting process on the island of Ireland in partnership with UCC. Bronze, silver and gold awards are presented alongside major accolades such as Supreme Champion and Best Artisan Producer. For Monaghan producers, taking part offers far more than the chance to win an award, providing valuable exposure, industry recognition and access to new markets. Finalists will be announced in mid-August, with the awards presented on October 2nd during the Blas Village celebrations in Dingle from October 1st to 4th.
