✨ Hometown Heroes: Meet Deanna of D’s Cakes ✨

As we launch our brand-new Hometown Heroes series, there’s no better place to start than with the talented Deanna Campbell of D’s Cakes 🎂

Based in Monaghan, D’s Cakes creates stunning custom cakes designed to suit every taste, style, and special occasion. Using only the finest ingredients and perfected recipes, every cake is lovingly crafted by Deanna herself, right down to the smallest detail.

Renowned for her handmade personalised cake toppers and models, Deanna truly lives by her motto: ‘Making the edible incredible’.

Founded in 2015, D’s Cakes was born from a lifelong love of baking. Some of Deanna’s earliest memories are spent at the kitchen table baking with her mother, whose buns and apple tarts remain firm family favourites 🍎

Her very first wedding cake? her sisters, made back in 1991 when Deanna was just 19!

Although her career began far from the kitchen, studying Civil Engineering in Dundalk IT and later working in timber frame design, Deanna eventually followed her heart. She transformed the family playroom into a cake room and with the help and support of the Local Enterprise Office Monaghan, she started her own business and has never looked back.

Today, D’s Cakes continues to go from strength to strength, supplying beautiful wedding cakes to happy couples across Ulster and beyond 💍
