Purpose:
The programme aim is to enhance and empower Women in Business in County Monaghan to grow their business through confident leadership skills.
This practical programme is aimed at growing personal confidence, communications skills, and ability to pitch and sell effectively in competitive markets.
The course will aim to empower women in business to lead with impact and create lasting personal and professional change in their management and leadership journey.

Learning Objectives:
Through facilitated workshops, practical exercises and targeted mentoring, participants will:
- Identify and address common barriers experienced uniquely by women in business (E.g. systemic and societal norms as well as internal barriers of confidence).
- Strengthen communication skills, with a specific focus on pitching, selling and business development.
- Build self-confidence and assertiveness to support effective decision-making and leadership presence.
- Develop practical leadership skills, including influencing, interpersonal effectiveness and stakeholder engagement using Situational Leadership as a lens.
- Enhance strategic thinking to support confident commercial conversations and planning.
- Apply learning directly to their own business challenges through structured mentoring.
- Increase capability to engage new business leads and pursue growth opportunities with clarity and confidence.
Approach and Delivery:
The programme will be delivered using a highly practical, participant-centred approach that combines interactive workshops with individual mentoring support.
Learning is grounded in participants’ own scenarios, ensuring they can immediately apply tools and techniques to their own businesses.
The mentoring element provides tailored support, reinforcing learning outcomes and supporting progress over time.

Gráinne McElwain is a seasoned sports and entertainment presenter with over 16 years of experience across various renowned TV networks (Sky Sports, BBC, Eir Sport, RTÉ, TG4).
With a strong presence both in front of the camera and behind the scenes as an accomplished producer, Gráinne brings a wealth of expertise to leaders seeking to enhance their executive presence and leadership skills.
Known for her warm, natural and engaging style, Gráinne has excelled as a presenter and MC, hosting a diverse array of events for clients including major sporting bodies (GAA, IRFU, NFL) and business organizations (AIB, Allianz, Medtronic and Bord Gáis Energy to name a few).
Gráinne earned a Higher Diploma in Education from University College Dublin and a BA Humanities Degree in Irish and History from University of Ulster in Coleraine. She has a WACN Practitioner Diploma in Coaching with Neuroscience.
Niamh McElwain brings more than 20 years of international experience in the field of learning & development.
She is a CPCC accredited executive coach, and spent 16 years working in leadership development and team effectiveness at Google Inc. based in Ireland, Poland and Silicon Valley.
At Google, Niamh facilitated thousands of high-impact workshops to employees and leaders across all functions in more than 20 office locations across 12 countries.
Niamh uses her background as an orchestral & choral director to infuse playfulness, improv, and dynamism into her design and facilitation style, ensuring engagement & impact.
Niamh earned a Bachelor in Music Education from Trinity College Dublin, and an International MBA from DCU & NEOMA Business School, France. She holds multiple certifications in change management, team development and leadership.
