Networking: Craft, Food and Technology/I.T.

Over the past couple of year clients had given us feedback that there was a need for networking opportunities for the types of businesses we support and hope to support in the future.

Networks present an ideal mechanism to help entrepreneurs and start-up businesses with peer to peer learning and sharing their experiences.

The Networks will also enable individuals and enterprises to openly discuss issues of common concern, redress the isolation that many may experience, and provide a forum for advice and on-going support.

The Networks will form part of our remit to foster entrepreneurship and develop the capability of start-up and small businesses in Galway city and county. We have linked with a number of entrepreneurs and start-up businesses on the ground and they are eager to join this focused group.

For the Craft Sector sessions have included:

  • 'Brand Galway'
  • Supports from the Crafts Council of Ireland
  • Discussion around ideas for the LOCAL Food & Craft gift Fair - this included getting everyones ideas and implementing those for the benefit of the stand holders and the public
  • How to sell your product - do you have a story?
