Grow your business today with the Trading Online Voucher Scheme

€2,500 grant and advice available

Irish consumers spend €850,000 an hour online, 24 hours a day, every day. While many small businesses have a web presence, less than one in four is actually trading online. With nearly 90% of Irish consumers using the internet to research and buy products and services, not having a trading online presence is a missed opportunity.

Irish small businesses need to be part of the online conversation. Customers are looking for brands they trust, as well as products and services of quality and value.

The Trading Online Voucher Scheme is a Government initiative to assist small businesses to trade online. Operated through the national network of 31 Local Enterprise Offices, the scheme offers a financial incentive of up to €2,500 (subject to match funding), along with training, mentoring and networking support.

If you have a small business, with 10 or fewer employees and less than €2m in revenue, that has little or no capacity to trade online, call your Local Enterprise Office today.

Here’s what Louth business owner, Dorothy Igoe of Modern Fashions Ltd. (ladies fashion wear), Dundalk who availed of the scheme has to say:

“Dramatic improvements in the first few months since developing the website have greatly assisted our business and point towards continuing improvements into the future. Flowing from a several fold increase in online inquiries, after just 3 months our sales have increased steadily to almost 20% when compared to the same period last year. This is helped by the arrival of new out-of-town customers, so not only can we retain our part time employee but offer them a full time post and look at employing another person in the not too distant future. With the help of our Local Enterprise Office, the Trading Online Voucher Scheme is certainly helping us in a number of practical ways and I would recommend the scheme to others.” (www.modernfashions.ie)
