LEO Louth has a new Head of Enterprise

Earlier this week, Louth County Council appointed Thomas McEvoy to head up the Local Enterprise Office.

The Local Enterprise Office Louth , which supports start up and expanding small businesses, is the primary agency dedicated to stimulate economic and entrepreneurial activity in the county.
LEO Louth (and its predecessor Louth Enterprise Board) has provided advice, counselling, training, finance and other supports to over 4,000 local enterprises in the past 20 years.
Before joining LEO Louth, Thomas worked for over 13 years with IDA Ireland where he held a number of positions including Head of Press & PR, Director Europe, FDI Property Marketing Manager and Manager for New Business from International Service companies. During his time with IDA he was based in Ireland, the US and mainland Europe. He also worked with the County Enterprise Boards in Cavan and Louth, and lectured in Business for a number of years at the University of Limerick. Thomas holds a Masters degree in Business and B.Comm from NUIG, and a number of post graduate qualifications from the Irish Management Institute and Durham University Business School.
Thomas will now lead an experienced team in the Local Enterprise Office to develop indigenous enterprise potential in the small business sector in Louth.
