LEADER Food Initiative Launched

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and The Department of Rural and Community Development have jointly launched a call for applications for food projects. Nationally the indicative budget for 2018 will be €5 million with an opportunity for projects in Co. Louth to apply for some of this funding.

The initiative aims to support new and existing food and beverage producers to address emerging challenges through investment in areas such as market development, competitiveness and innovation.

Project applicants must be an artisan, micro or small food producer and must be registered as a food producer with the relevant Competent Authority.

Applications for funding under this call will be managed through the LEADER Local Action Group (Louth Local Community Development Committee).
