Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 logoHorizon 2020 is the new EU funding programme for research and innovation running from 2014 to 2020 with an €80 billion budget. The first calls for proposals for Horizon 2020 were published on 11 December 2013.

Horizon 2020 is a core part of Europe 2020 the Innovation Union and the European Research Area and is responding to the economic crisis to invest in future jobs and growth, addressing people’s concerns about their livelihoods, safety and environment and strengthening the EU’s global position in research, innovation and technology.
