Following the triumph of advanced cosmetic manufacturing ltd in the national enterprise awards 2023, the Ballina firm welcomed minister Dara Calleary, together with public representatives and a delegation from mayo county council to its hi-tech facility.
Advanced cosmetic manufacturing is owned and run by Noreen Hackett, a cosmetic chemist with over 10 years experience, who took top prize at the prestigious national enterprise awards earlier this year. One of Europes only concept to shelf cosmetics companies, the Ballina business works with Irish & international customers to formulate innovative new products, test to strict worldwide regulations, manufacture and even package it, thus bringing the customer from an initial concept through to a product that is shelf ready.
Among the guests were minister Dara Calleary, leas cathaoirleach Martin Mcloughlin, councillor Mark Duffy, and Joanne Grehan, Declan Turnbull, and John Magee (mayo county council) together with representatives of mayo local enterprise office and its evaluation & approvals committee.
During the visit, Noreen described the company's development and some of the testing and manufacturing processes currently carried out in the Ballina plant.
Leo mayo has worked closely with Noreen over the years to develop her business and she has availed of training, mentoring, and financial support throughout her business journey.
The visitors congratulated Noreen on her success in business and in the national enterprise awards.
