Mona combines her training qualifications with her primary business degree from UCD. She holds a diploma in Business and Executive Coaching and an IPASS certificate in Payroll. Ed is an experienced business leader in multinational corporations as Executive, Senior Program and People Manger across several domestic and international functions including: Finance, Accounting, Payments Operations, Real Estate, Facilities and Environmental management, Reengineering, Manufacturing, Communications, and in the Services Business both in Client Delivery and European HQ roles.

Ed is a mentor with a number of Local Enterprise Offices providing insight and help in formulation of business plans and their component elements, including MFI funding. Ed is on the LEO South Dublin Trainer panel.   He also acted as facilitator with Dublin City Council on a number of critical projects: - optimization of management structure, sport facilities and land development projects.

Ed successfully founded APV.ie, Advanced Photo Video Production Company, servicing the corporate market, creating compelling videos for SMEs and businesses building their brand and client engagement, along with capturing events, speeches and testimonials and providing an alternative to stock images/footage, along with professional profile photos.

 

Independent Business Change Consultant/Facilitator/Trainer: experienced in accelerated change management, developing strategy into executable action plans, resulting in operation scaling to drive significant increases in net profit. Paul Murtagh is a business mentor and consultant providing support to start-up businesses across a variety of sectors. He focuses on business planning, business strategy, financial planning, research and development, raising funds and commercialisation. Paul has a background in IT, Financial Services and Manufacturing.

Paul is a former Senior Vice President/Managing Director of Fidelity Investments (Ireland). Paul joined Fidelity in 1996 and had overall responsibility for developing strategies to optimise the Fidelity IT operation in Ireland. During this time the organisation grew to almost 400 people and Paul established a $32m Research & Development Centre focusing on key components of Fidelity’s core fund management operation.

Prior to this, Paul co-founded an IT business in Ireland with a specific focus on systems for manufacturing businesses. Paul is a member of the mentor panel with a number LEO’s and also carries out commercial assessments for the Enterprise Ireland Innovation Partnership programme. Paul sits on the Board of a number of ‘not for profit’ organisations in the Kildare and Meath region. Leo Gibson has a Bachelor of Commerce from UCD (1975) and Certificate in Training & Development from DIT (2010). He also has a Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring (2016) as well as an IBM certificate in respect of their course on Manufacturing Accounting and Production Inventory Control.

John Dowling began his career in the food industry more than 20 years ago, packing yogurts on the factory floor. After graduating from college in Food Science and Quality Management he went on to work in Quality Control and Assurance in the food manufacturing, catering and retail sectors. As the Technical Manager of a meat processing plant in 2013, John successfully managed a major food crisis dealing with inspectors from Bord Bia, FSAI, and the Department of Agriculture. Since then he has been contracted as a BRC and ISO Auditor covering meat processing, ready-to-eat, confectionary, fish, brewing and dairy product categories. John enjoys using the knowledge and experience he has gained over the years to guide and mentor existing and newly established food companies to grow and develop to international standards.

 Mentor Jo-Anne Corcoran

Jo-Anne Corcoran is a qualified Industrial Designer with a H. Dip. in Food Science and Technology. Her career in the food industry began with Kerry Foods in 2002 and she has since worked as a Project Manager in other sectors including construction and education with responsibility for Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety. Jo-Anne provides BiaSolutions’ clients with technical support to set up and maintain Quality Management Systems and to assist them in dealing with Environmental Health registration and compliance visits from regulatory authorities. Designing and delivering bespoke training in the areas of Food Safety and HACCP compliance and working with artisan producers and food service businesses to develop their ideas literally from farm to fork is the part of Jo-Anne’s job in which she takes most pleasure.

 

Luke Robinson:

Luke is a Chartered Accountant specialising in financial planning and strategy advice to start-ups and SME’s.

Luke runs his own advisory business (financechief.ie) and has worked with lots of businesses in the areas of business planning, financial planning, funding options and managing business finances. Prior to setting up Finance Chief, he worked for over 10 years in different finance roles with eir and Deloitte.

Pat McKeown:

FF Solutions formed part of a group of companies started by the owner and Managing Director Pat McKeown in 1980.

FF Pumps was the first of these companies which manufactured a range of Gear Pumps and ancillary equipment for the Agricultural and Industrial sectors in the UK and Ireland. The company employed 15 people and became the largest Irish owned manufacturer of pumps to the agric sector up to its peak 1994.

Pat McKeown won the Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the year award in 1992 and was runner up in RTE's Up & Running Programme in 1993.

Following the sale of the Pump manufacturing business and FF Polymers, Pat Mc Keown set up FF Solutions Ltd. In order to pursue an interest in business development through mentoring and consultancy. This also included web development and utilising the internet for the benefit of Irish SMEs.

David Normoyle:

David Normoyle is the Founder and Business Consultant at Spotlight Business Improvement.

He is a hands on driven leader, with almost 20 years’ experience in the areas of Operations Excellence, Compliance, Lean Six Sigma, IT Service Management and Project Management, as a manager, mentor and trainer.

David’s career began in Customer Service in 1998 and over time, roles in Business Analysis, Service Improvement and IT Service Delivery led to opportunities to work at a senior level, with industry leading companies in Ireland and across Europe.

In 2017 he launched Spotlight Business Improvement to enable businesses to identify areas of improvement, improving profit, saving time and money.

James Burke

James started his food and retail career working part-time in SuperValu Bantry. He subsequently studied Retailed Management in DIT and joined Superquinn in 1984. He spent over 20 years in Superquinn, the last 10 of which were at Board Room Level. His Superquinn executive roles included Business Development Manager, Group Purchasing Manager and Trading Manager.

In addition James served on the advisory board of AMS €1 billion European buying group and was a director of the Irish Purchasing Company Aontas. He holds a degree in retailing and wholesaling from Stirling University in Scotland.

James Burke has worked in the food sector for over 23 years.

Having started in SuperValu in West Cork, and then moved to Superquinn he spent 10 years at the operational side of the business and 10 years at head office where he was also appointed to the board of the company.

In his current role as business consultant, James provides strategic advice and business planning for some of Irelands best known companies within the food and retail sectors

James is a current member of the TASTE Council (the strategic advisory group for the speciality food industry) which involves continuous contact with the Artisan sector.
