SET-UP AND INPUT OF TRANSACTION DATA (COMPUTERISED BOOKKEEPING)

  • Set up accounts and data on computerised accounts package – customers, suppliers, nominal, stock, opening balances
  • Enter appropriate information to accounts
  • Sales, purchases,
  • Cash receipts
  • Cheque payments
  • Petty cash
  • Debtors ledger
  • Creditors ledger
  • Nominal ledger
  • Issue, print and post sales invoices and credit notes
  • Restore petty cash to imprest
  • Controls, verifications and correction of errors

COMPUTER REPORTS AND ANALYSIS

  • Extract trial balance
  • Extracting useful reports from system – sales day book, aged debtors, purchase day book, aged creditors, cashbook, petty cash book, nominal ledger accounts Preparing VAT return from system
  • Interpret information from above reports

We will use SAGE Business Cloud Accounting during the course. Trainees can download a three month free trial of SAGE Business Cloud Accounting for use during the course. Tutor will go through this at module 1
