This 6 x evening programme will give you a good understanding of the processes involved in starting or growing your own business. A one-to-one follow up clinic is included (will be arranged after the workshops are finished).

Who should attend

This Start Your Own Business training course is designed for individuals considering starting a small business or those who have a business that is running less than 9 months. The course modules aim to introduce participants to entrepreneurship, self-employment, the legal aspects of setting up, tax & VAT obligations, basic financial management, market research, sales and the development of a business plan.

The following Modules will be covered:

• Is self-employment right for me? 

• How will I run my business, legal obligation, business risk, registering with revenue and for VAT

• Marketing yourself & marketing your business

• The psychology of sales & selling

• Business planning using the Business Model Canvas (BMC)

• Incorporating customer service into your business for profit
