How to claim the Second Instalment of a Salary Grant(s) under the Priming & Business Expansion Grants.
The Second Instalment of a salary grant falls due six calendar months from the first date of employment or date of payment The LEO will contact you to remind you to draw down the second instalment of your grant award.
How to claim the SECOND instalment of a salary grant(s) in the case of Owner/Managers/Self-Assessed Promoters the following is required:
  • Completed the Second Instalment Salary Grant Form (Employment Detail Form) This form must be signed and stamped by your Accountant/Auditor confirming details of all employees.
  • A letter from your accountant will be required to confirm that you the Owner/Managers/Self-Assessed Promoter’s tax affairs are in order and that tax deductions will be made when they fall due.
  • A Set of Management Accounts will be requested for the six months since approval of the employment grant. This is to check on progress achieved on sales and business objectives.
  • If a mentor has been appointed to you as a condition of your grant you must have met the mentor on at least 5/6 occasions since approval to discuss progress. Subject to satisfactory completion of the above the second instalment of the employment grant will be paid.
  • A site inspection will also be carried out by a LEO officer before payment will be issued.
How to claim the SECOND instalment of a salary grant(s) for a new grant aided employee(s):
  • Completed the Second Instalment Salary Grant Form (Employment Detail Form) This form must be signed and stamped by your Accountant/Auditor confirming details of all employees.
  • Confirmation from the tax office / revenue commissioner that the employee(s) is registered with the employer. (Evidence of Tax/PRSI has been deducted and a Letter from Accountant) will be required.
  • Confirmation of revenue payments to the Revenue Commissioners in respect of any grant-aided employee(s) will be required
  • A Set of Management Accounts will be requested for the six months since approval of the employment grant. This is to check on progress achieved on sales and business objectives.
  • If a mentor has been appointed to you as a condition of your grant you must have met the mentor on at least 5/6 occasions since approval to discuss progress. Subject to satisfactory completion of the above the second instalment of the employment grant will be paid.
  • A site inspection will also be carried out by a LEO officer before payment will be issued.
