Local Enterprise Office and Avondhu Blackwater Partnership team up to launch training programmes in Castletownroche

The Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West and Avondhu Blackwater Partnership Ltd, joined forces on Tuesday 22nd September to officially launch the offices of Avondhu Blackwater in Castletownroche as an additional location from which to deliver new training courses for business.  In attendance were Michael Hanley, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West, Valerie Murphy CEO Avondhu Blackwater Partnership Ltd and Joan Kelleher, Business Adviser, Local Enterprise Office Cork North and West. The offices of Avondhu Blackwater will now provide an important new location for the Local Enterprise Office to  deliver business training, to assist budding entrepreneurs and existing businesses at local level.

The mission of the Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West is to promote entrepreneurship, foster business start-ups and develop existing micro and small businesses to drive job creation and to provide accessible high quality supports for business ideas. Small businesses face a host of barriers to success, including: not knowing where to find information and resources; inexperienced management, access to finance or lack of marketing and business planning skills. Helping to overcome these challenges are among the many ways that Local Enterprise Offices serve the practical needs of people in business. The offices act as a First Stop Shop for business enquiries, making sure that everybody with a query is routed towards the most relevant person or agency to deal with that issue. Partnering with Avondhu Blackwater in Castletownroche has secured an additional important outlet from which to deliver services and assistance to small businesses.

We are delighted to partner with Avondhu Blackwater to provide a new additional location for course delivery and the excellent facilities available in Castletownroche will mean ease of access for many promoters from this part of North Cork”

 

Also speaking at the launch, Valerie Murphy, CEO Avondhu Blackwater Partnership Ltd explained “our partnership with the Local  Enterprise Office will help provide the ideal location & environment conducive to the development of  new Training programmes for the Business Community. I am very pleased that through the LEOs, the Avondhu Blackwater Partnership Ltd will be at the centre of business creation and development”.
