She underlined the significance of personal networking in business, especially for those starting off. “Get up, make up and dress up!” Celia said to all the women in the room.

“In today’s business climate networking with potential clients has never been more important. There is a realisation among most sensible business people that they look beyond traditional ways of doing business and the type of promotional activities that they previously engaged in. We are delighted with the enthusiastic response that this networking initiative has received, which demonstrates that smaller companies are willing to look at every opportunity that presents itself,” said Joan Kelleher, Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West.

A boost of confidence is what every woman needs so it is very important to “dress for success”. During her talk and informal networking, Celia shared her advice on how to look good and how to embrace confidence in everything that you are doing. The Women in Business Networking event not only gave an opportunity to listen to Celia’s career story, but to also ask questions and receive advice about both – business and personal style. Through her experience and humour, the presentation covered a wide range of knowledge for the women at the event, and offered tips on how to become a more confident and more successful business owner no matter what size is the business.
