Taste Cork Whiskey Mixer- promoting and celebrating Cork whiskeys.

Whiskey and food lovers alike will be flocking to participating venues of Cork Whiskey Festival, 14th – 17th April, to celebrate Irish whiskeys, experience new flavours, and mingle with like-minded participants.

Cork Whiskey FestCork’s inaugural Whiskey Festival will take place in Cork city centre with some of the city’s best known restaurants and pubs hosting an array of whiskey tastings, tours and insightful talks, with many offering exciting whiskey food pairings on their menus throughout the weekend.

Organiser of the festival, Ernest Cantillon, says we're delighted to be bringing together some of the best whiskeys, from near and far, some household names, others lesser known, and teaming them up with venues across the city. We hope to create an opportunity for people not only to sample different batches, blends and brands, but also meet with the people who make them, and enjoy them served in different ways, and paired with different foods.”

Joining in on festivities, Taste Cork and Electric have teamed up to host the Taste Cork Whiskey Mixer in order to promote and celebrate Cork whiskeys. Rebecca O’Keeffe of Taste Cork says “it’s a fantastic opportunity to bring together the outstanding array of high quality whiskeys Co. Cork has to offer. Through the collaborative creation of Taste Cork, The Cork County & City Councils, and the Cork Local Enterprise Offices have well and truly harnessed the power of the ‘collective’. It is an ethos we plan to carry, share and continuously nurture”.

Unwind after work at the Taste Cork Whiskey Mixer, Electric, 6pm – 8pm, Friday 15th April. This informal social event is open to all and promises to be a great evening.
