The Women in Business Management Development Programme was delivered at various locations around Co Cork.  The first module was delivered in Millstreet, Co Cork while other modules were delivered across Cork North and West to accommodate participants from all areas. The final module was delivered at The Mill in Castletownroche. The training programme which was highly subsidised and organised by Local Enterprise Office Cork was delivered by Smart Marketing Ltd, a midwest- based firm which is owned by female entrepreneur, Theresa Mulvihill.  “As a female business owner I appreciate and understand the importance of making every minute count. When we deliver training programmes we make sure that every minute counts and that all participants leave with practical actionable points after each training session.”

Participants remained committed despite busy hectic business and personal lives and each week took with them a 5 point action plan to implement into their business.  One business owner, Liz Walsh from Top to Toe Therapy, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it to be extremely beneficial. There was a very good diversity of topics ranging from financial issues to marketing , HR to time management, legal issues to business issues all given by competent and enjoyable lecturers, who always made us feel that they really cared that our businesses would succeed and flourish. I would thoroughly recommend this course to any person who is perhaps at a cross roads in their business and unsure whether to take the next step, as I felt that the Women in Business program clarified many issues for me and revitalised me to progress my business further”. Liz also commented on the high level of support and interest shown during the programme by Business Advisor Joan Kelleher “Joan demonstrated excellent organisation, energy and enthusiasm in organising the Women in Business program. She continually enquired as to whether the course was to our satisfaction and encouraged us to network on a regular basis”
