Training workshop for mothers who are thinking about starting their own business

This half day workshop is for mothers who are thinking of starting their own business and who are not yet in business. It is a pre-start your own business programme workshop and will inform you of the main areas in starting your own business. This is an ideal workshop for someone at early idea stage who is unsure of whether or not to start their own business.

During this half day workshop, the following modules will be covered:

  • Module 1: Commencement – Some necessary basics when starting up a business

  • Module 2: Umm...Excuses - How to diminish the negative stories that block your progress

  • Module 3: Time Management - Basic tips to make the most of your limited time

  • Module 4: Effort & Effectiveness - Find out where you are and are not effective

  • Module 5: Hopes & Dreams – What goals are you setting for your business?

  • Module 6: Obstacles – Simple tips to overcome obstacles as they arise

  • Module 7: Niche – Why having a speciality sets you apart from your competition

  • Module 8: Extra Mile – How to under promise and over deliver to create happy clients

  • Module 9: You – Discover the difference between you and your competitors

  • Recap & gather participant starter goal

Note re childcare facilities at the hotel during your training:The Quality Hotel has a creche available while you attend the training course. They can cater for up to 10 children aged between 6 months and 4 years. The fee would be €15 for 3 hours. If you wish to avail of this facility, you need to contact Tracy Lombard at the Creche of the Quality Hotel on 023-8835400. Please note that the West Cork Enterprise Board cannot take responsibility for your childcare booking, should you wish to avail of it. Pre-booking is essential as there are limited places available at the creche.
