Start Your Own Business Programme, Clonakilty

This training programme will run over a period of 4 weeks. It is for those with a business idea, likely to be in full-time employment, unemployed, recently made redundant or those returning to the workplace. It will allow you to research and develop your business idea, in great detail. The programme will guide you through the various aspects of business with an objective to allow you to assess your idea, its viability and to decide if you should proceed or take a step back.

Modules covered during the programme will include:

• Self assessment / starting your own business
• Legal issues for start ups
• Preparing a business plan
• Marketing for the small business - an introduction Researching the market
• Finance Funding sources / approaches
• Basic bookkeeping
• Sales
• Social media/website and other related IT subjects for a small business

The training will entail a lot of group interaction and discussions. By the end of the programme, you should have a detailed complete business plan for your new business idea.

One hour per participant of one to one mentoring with the trainer will also be made available towards the end of the training. This mentoring will take place at the same venue and location as the training. The trainer will arrange this directly with you.
