Women in Business Programme - Skibbereen


As part of our ongoing commitment to women in business, this business development programme is specifically for women in business, across all sectors. It is aimed at the woman owner/partner of a small business, employing 1 to 10 employees. Applicants will be actively involved in the management of their business and will be trading for a minimum of 12 months. Those participating on this programme MUST already have completed the standard Start your own Business programme. The Women in Business Programme is ideal for those who wish to broaden and develop their knowledge in the areas of: strategy, finance, raising money, marketing, sales, public relations, social media, pitching, the business plan. If you are looking for assistance to move your business to the next stage of growth, this initiative could benefit your business.

Over the course of a number of training sessions, you will work with the trainers to assist you in growing, developing or diversifying your business. There will be a maximum group size of 15 women in business participating in the training programme and this will provide great networking opportunities within the group.

This programme is ideal if you are currently facing challenges within your business or if you are at a stage of changing some of your product or service offerings, where you need direction, guidance and support.

There is an application process to apply for a place on the programme:

  • Express your interest here online in applying for the programme

  • We will then send you the APPLICATION FORM to complete and return - deadline date for receipt of applications is: Friday the 18th of August 2017.

  • Confirmed programme training dates: Tuesday 12th, 19th, 26th September; 3rd, 17th, 24th, 31st October; 7th November 2017.

  • Cost of the programme: €150 per person and is only applicable after the recruitment and screening process and once you have been offered a place on the programme

  • The Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West reserves the right to refuse an application if an applicant is deemed to be unsuitable for the programme.
