Women in Business Programme – West Cork, Rosscarbery - Express your interest here

As part of our ongoing commitment to women in business, this business development programme is specifically for women in business across all sectors. We have been running this programme in the LEO Cork North & West since 2016 and the programme has gone from strength to strength. Women who partake in the programme not only find its learnings invaluable but also its networking and mentoring.

Express your interest here and we will send you a detailed application form to complete. All completed applications will be reviewed and places will be offered based on a client's suitability for the programme. Once you are offered and have accepted a place, we then send you a payment link for the cost of the programme, €150 per participant. (If 2 women from the same business i.e. a partnership, wish to participate in the programme, the cost of €150 per participant still applies. 

The programme is aimed at the woman owner/partner of a small business, employing 1 to 10 employees. Applicants will be actively involved in the management of their business and will be trading for a minimum of 12 months. Those participating on this programme should already have completed the standard Start your own business programme (exemptions may occur however, if a client has already been in business or if a client has already completed a similar start-up training programme).

The Women in Business Programme is ideal for those who wish to broaden and develop their knowledge in the areas of: strategy, finance, raising money, marketing, sales, public relations, pitching, the business plan. If you are looking for assistance to move your business to the next stage of growth, this initiative could benefit your business.

Over the course of 8 training sessions, you will work with the trainers to assist you in growing, developing or diversifying your business. There will be a maximum group size of 15 women in business participating in the training programme and this will provide great networking opportunities within the group. 

Places are limited to 15 clients per Local Enterprise Office and are open to those within West Cork catchment area only (Kinsale, Bandon, Clonakilty, Rosscarbery, Dunmanway, Skibbereen, Bantry, Castletownbere & Beara Peninsula)

 The Local Enterprise Office reserves the right to refuse an application, if they deem an applicant/woman in business owner to be unsuitable to partake in the programme.

PLEASE NOTE: This programme is suitable for the owner/manager/director of a small business and NOT the manager or employee of a small business.
