Local Enterprise Week is organised every year by the 31 Local Enterprise Offices across the country. This year Local Enterprise Week takes place from 2nd - 6th March.

We look forward to bringing you another week long programme of events and training during Local Enterprise Week 2026!

Monday 2nd March

Cybersecurity & GDPR

In the modern digital economy, cybersecurity is no longer just a technical issue—it is a core business requirement. This half-day session, Future proofing your Business: Cyber Security/GDPR, is designed to strip away the complexity and provide SME owners with a practical, jargon-free roadmap to protecting their livelihood.

Join us from 2nd–4th March at Galway County Council, Prospect Hill, for a special pop‑up Food and Craft Fair celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge and Local Enterprise Week.

This three‑day showcase brings together talented local makers, food producers, and crafters from across Galway, highlighting the richness of our creative community and the vibrancy of the Irish language.

Visitors can browse unique handmade goods, enjoy locally produced food, and meet the entrepreneurs behind some of Galway’s most exciting small businesses, all in a welcoming, bilingual environment.

Mind the Gap: Thriving in a Multi-Generational Workplace

This event, facilitated by Sinéad D'Arcy of Future Roots, will focus on moving beyond stereotypes to understand the values, motivations and working styles of each generation. It will provide practical ways individuals and organisations can bridge generational differences, leverage diverse strengths, and create teams that work better together. We’ll unpack how different life stages, experiences and expectations shape the way people communicate, make decisions, and collaborate at work, and where friction (and opportunity) can arise. The event will include a panel discussion featuring voices from Gen X, Millennial and Gen Z perspectives.
