Minister Richmond visits Local Enterprise Office and client companies in Galway

Minister of State for Employment Affairs and Retail Business, Neale Richmond TD, was in Galway on Friday where he met with members of the Local Enterprise Office team and their client companies.

The Minister was greeted at Galway Homeopathics (GH) Agri in Tuam byLEO Head of Enterprise, Valerie Kelly and local councillors. The Minister then met with Local Enterprise Office staff to hear about their work and future plans for the area.

Minister Richmond was then introduced to Kevin McHugh, CEO of GH Agri, who are an agricultural veterinary healthcare company and given a tour of the facility. Established in 1989, GH Agri manufactures nutritional products for cattle, sheep and horses which are designed to enhance animal performance and build up their immune systems.

Later the Minister travelled to another LEO client, Evo Precision Engineering, a manufacturing company that was established in 2022 and specialises in manufacturing medical devices and automation machines.

Minister Richmond said:

“Galway is a county with so much to offer and it is great to meet the local LEO team and see the dedication they have to local businesses here and the commitment they have to their clients’ growth and success. 

The impact of the support provided by LEOs to businesses across the country cannot be underestimated. Mentorship, funding and training can be transformative to any businesses in any sector.

“It was wonderful to visit Tuam and to meet these LEO client companies, GH Agri and Evo, who through their innovation and expertise are having a real impact in their respective industries.”
