What is EMPOWER?

EMPOWER I commenced in October 2017 with 34 females being selected onto cycle one and 30 being selected onto cycle two in October 2018 and is delivered by the GMIT Innovation Hubs who have a successful track record in delivering entrepreneurship programmes across the region. EMPOWER delivers two different programmes: EMPOWER START and EMPOWER GROWTH.

EMPOWER II commenced in July 2020. Twenty female entrepreneurs have completed the first cycle of the START Programme and there are currently thirteen female entrepreneurs on the first cycle of the GROWTH programme which is due to complete in May 2021.

EMPOWER GROWTH …… NOW OPEN

Applications for the next EMPOWER GROWTH programme opened on the 8th March 2021. The closing date for EMPOWER GROWTH applications is Friday 30th April at 12 noon. This programme will commence in June 2021.

This free programme is open to female entrepreneurs based in the West and North of Ireland, who are in business 3 years or more and who want to grow and scale their business.
