Enterprise Awareness in National Schools

National School pupils from twelve schools in Co. Leitrim recently took part in an Enterprise Awareness Programme aimed at educating children on entrepreneurship and business. Developed by Local Enterprise Office Leitrim, the programme consisted of workshops and a logo/slogan competition.

Aimed at 5th & 6th class pupils, the feedback from participating schools was very positive and schools took part in the competition part of the programme which consisted of designing a logo/slogan for entrepreneurship.

The standard of applications was very high with all students putting alot of thought and time into their entries. The 2017 winning entry was developed by Maria Cunningham who assisted by her classmates ensured that 6th Class in Fatima National School in Cloone were the winners of this years competition.

On Tuesday last June 27th Nicola Mc Manus from Local Enterprise Office Leitrim visited Fatima National School in Cloone to make a presentation to Maria and her classmates. Nicola Mc Manus congratulated the group on their success and presented them with a piece of Leitrim Crystal to mark the occasion. Well done to all involved!
