Dodeca Cycle is a music installation with twelve electronic sequencers control solenoid-driven marimbas and chimes.
The amazing Dodeca cycle – a musical instruments for use in group music workshops is the brainchild of instrument maker & musician Ed Devane.
Ed Devane delivers instrument building and music production workshops to children, young people and adults. In his workshops he cover a wide range of topics including elements of physics, history of music and instrument design from different cultures, group discussions, teamwork exercises, recording technologies, electronics, and group music making.
Workshop participants learn about music, materials, craft, technology and the physics of sound, in keeping with STEM learning.
Ed Devan can facilitate workshops for pupils of all ages.
Each workshop will last I hour. Max participants per workshop – 12 participants.
