National Enterprise Awards application process now open

The National Enterprise Awards will take place in Dublin on May 28th 2020 and the Local Enterprise Office Leitrim is now organising the county competition to identify Leitrim’s best micro enterprise. The county winner will go forward to represent Leitrim in the National Finals and compete against 31 winning businesses from around the country.

The National Enterprise Awards was introduced in 1997 and recognises the contribution that small businesses make to the Irish economy. The National Enterprise Awards is a national competition run by the former County & City Enterprise Boards since 1998, now the Local Enterprise Offices, and is open to any LEO client that has availed of Measure 1 / other grant aid supports or completed a LEAN programme. The competition is open to manufacturing and internationally traded services businesses in all sectors, structured at local or county level and culminates in a prestigious national final.

Eligible businesses will employ ten or less staff.

The county competition will take place in early March as part of Enterprise Week 2020 and this years County Final winner will be awarded a €2,000 prize fund. 

The application process is as follows:

  • Submission of Application deadline: 25th February 2020 
  • Awards Ceremony: Wednesday 4th March 2020

Applicants must complete an application form and forward together with a current Business Plan and set of up to date financial statements to Local Enterprise Office, Leitrim County Council, Aras an Chontae, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim.
