What is FABLAB Manorhamilton?

FABLAB Manorhamilton is a collective of Designers, Engineers and Makers who are in the beginning stages of creating a Fab Lab in the north Leitrim town of Manorhamilton. This area is renowned for innovation in both the Arts and Industry and boasts some of Irelands leading design, manufacturing and artistic organizations and individuals. The addition of a Fab Lab to the area would provide a source of innovation, empowerment, education and new business development. Users will have an unprecedented opportunity to access state of the art digital tools within a community setting.

What can I do and see?

In conjunction with the acclaimed Fab Lab Nerve Centre in Derry we will be setting up a Pop Up Fab Lab and will be on hand to demonstrate technologies such as 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, CNC Milling, Vinyl Cutting and Open Source Electronics. You will experience how a Fab Lab can offer significant benefits to education, industry, artistic design and essentially facilitate anyone to make (almost) anything. Real world examples of Fab Lab designed and produced products will be on show to inspire.
