Oran Doherty was recently appointed the Regional Skills Manager for the North West and he will engaging with employers in the region to discuss the training and education requirements of local employers. At the recent launch of the Graduate Internship for Entrepreneurship programme in Carrick on Shannon, Oran presented the various ways the education and training providers in the North West can assist employers of all size in relation to employee training, student placements, research collaborations,  recruitment of graduates and events and conferences that may be relevant to employers.

Joe Lowe Head of Enterprise highlighted the importance of the regional skills forum for micro enterprise in the region in terms of accessing additional supports for their businesses and encouraged business owners to make contact with Oran or other regional skills managers in their area.
