  • Registration will commence at 11:30a.m. with tea/coffee served on arrival downstairs in the Dock

Who Should Attend:

  • This training is aimed at artists, crafters, designers and anyone interest in the creative sector.
  • This event is open to people from Leitrim and surrounding counties – everyone is welcome!

Why Attend:

  • Join us in this three-hour interactive training and networking session with like-minded individuals, providing information support and informal networking in an open environment. You'll leave with an expanded support network and a mindful toolkit.
  • You will have an opportunity to engage with the Creative Heartlands team, and equipment such as the clay printer, digital embroidery machine, 3D cutter, laser printers facilitated by the Fab Lab.
  • You will have time to network and interact with crafters and artists that have used this equipment, their learning and key take aways which you can adapt for your business.

Event Outline:

  • Fran Best will lead this interactive session, creating an opportunity for networking during facilitated discussions. This event will include open discussions, idea exchanges, and knowledge sharing specifically for the creative sector.
  • Time will be dedicated to sharing strategies and practices for maximising peak trading periods. This motivating session with experts in their field aims to foster networking and support within the creative community.
  • On arrival participants will be led through a five-minute “Meditation Pause” with Aileen Slein. Aileen is a speaker and trainer who uses the vehicle of mindfulness to bring harmony to your life (www.aileenslein.com). This will allow you to land and centre yourself for the networking event. Aileen will also share her expert knowledge during her presentation on Mindfulness on how we can use Mindfulness, specifically the RAIN (Recognise, Allow, Investigate, Nurture) methodology and how it can create peace and well-being within challenging times.
  • Leitrim Local Enterprise Office will be present at the event along with the Leitrim Design House team, where you can discuss training, funding and mentoring opportunities.
  • During this afternoon you will get an opportunity to interact with the Creative Heartland equipment, the team and participants of previous events and markerthon workshops. These invaluable interactions will allow you to ask practical questions, see the equipment in action and learn how this equipment could be incorporate to add value to your own practice / business.
