The aim of this session is to provide participants with the skills to write a business plan to support a funding need or grant application. Aside from funding, this workshop will also cater for people wanting to develop a new business plan or look at amending their current plan.

On completion of this workshop, participants will:
- Understand key business planning terminology
- Have a greater understanding of the importance of business planning
- Know what a business plan contains
- Have a greater appreciation of how a business plan can be developed
- Appreciate the value of reviewing and updating business plans to monitor progress
- Gained insight into how other people read and interpret business plans
- Have completed a draft of the plan during the workshop and committed to working on their business plan.
- Bridgewater will circulate to participants a specially prepared Guide to Preparing your Business Plan along with a business plan template. We will also circulate electronic copies of sample business plans. It is our experience that a proportion of participants may never have seen a real business plan. Seeing a real business plan can help to demystify and simplify the challenge.
