We are delighted to announce that Local Enterprise Office Louth and Local Enterprise Office Meath will once again join forces to host our annual National Women’s Enterprise Day.

Taking place on Thursday, 16th October, this event gives female business owners and entrepreneurs from across Louth and Meath a chance to gather for an energetic day of learning, networking, and inspiration. It will run from 9am to 2.30pm at The Monasterboice Inn, Drogheda. 

The event will feature a mix of keynote speakers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. Attendees will hear from inspiring entrepreneurs, gain practical business insights, and connect with like-minded women from across the region. Refreshments and lunch are included, with plenty of time to build valuable connections.

“This much-anticipated event is designed for women at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey, from those considering a start-up to established business owners seeking to grow and innovate,” said Nikki Campbell, Head of Enterprise at Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Louth. “It’s an opportunity to connect with others, learn from experienced speakers, and gain practical tools to move your business forward.”

The event will be hosted by Lorraine Murphy, an acclaimed executive coach and trainer with over 20 years’ experience in leadership development. Passionate about empowering SMEs and supporting women in business, Lorraine will guide attendees through a morning packed with valuable insights and experiences.

The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Katriona O’Sullivan, a leading advocate for digital equality and inclusive education. Author of the #1 Irish Non-Fiction bestseller Poor, her journey from leaving school early to becoming a Maynooth University lecturer and Microsoft Ireland research lead is one of resilience. She works with policymakers, industry, and communities to ensure technology and education open doors for all.

A lively panel discussion will follow, bringing together two standout local entrepreneurs.

Ali Molloy is the founder of High Tide Event and Experience Agency, a pioneering Louth-based business known for its creativity, large-scale event delivery, and client-focused approach. She brings over 18 years of international experience in event management and brand engagement, having led high-impact projects for global brands across five continents.

Kate Scott is the co-founder of HoloToyz, a Meath enterprise making waves internationally with its award-winning augmented reality children’s products. Their fun-tech combines physical toys, stickers, and books with augmented reality, bringing characters and creatures to life for children through a safe, kid-friendly app.

Networking is another really important part of this event. Refreshment and lunch breaks will allow attendees to exchange ideas and build connections with like-minded businesswomen from across the region.
