ACOUSTIC INTERIORS LTD TO REPRESENT OFFALY AT NATIONAL ENTERPRISE AWARDS

 An engineering business from Edenderry will represent Local Enterprise Office at this year’s National Enterprise Award for 2022.

 Acoustic Interiors Ltd. took the county top prize of €1500 and will now represent Local Enterprise Office Offaly at the 22nd National Enterprise Awards at the Mansion House in Dublin on the 2nd June.

Acoustic Interiors was established by Derek McCreanor and David Fitzgerald. It provides noise reduction solutions, nationally and internationally, to the residential, commercial, entertainment, educational and medical sectors. We strive to improve the health, wellbeing and productivity of people through the use of good acoustic design. We offer a full turnkey solution from Investigation to consulting, design, build/fit-out, test and sign-off.

 Acoustic Interiors Ltd. will now be competing against 30 other finalists from every local authority area for a share of the €35,000 winners prize fund as national judging gets underway in May. Categories this year include ‘Best Export Business,’ ‘Best Start-Up’ and ‘Innovation,’ in addition to eight regional awards. There are also two new National Enterprise Awards this year with a “One to Watch” award and a “Sustainability / Green” award.

Birr based, Applied Concepts Ltd. won the Overall National Award in 2016. In 2019, Tullamore based Dotser won an award for the Mid East Region.

 The Offaly Enterprise Awards took place as part of a very successful Local Enterprise Week programme of events. There were over 220 physical and virtual events taking place across the country, run by the 31 Local Enterprise Offices from March 7th to 11th.

 Speaking ahead of the awards Orla Martin, Head of Enterprise with Local Enterprise Office said “We are delighted to have Acoustic Interiors Ltd representing Offaly at the National Enterprise Awards 2022. These awards are a great barometer for what the Local Enterprise Offices are doing and every year the standard is getting better and better”.

 Other previous winners of the National Enterprise Awards include Irish Yoghurts (1998), Obelisk (2000), Simtech Aviation (2008), Digiweb (2004) and Design Pro (2013), Terra NutriTech (2018) and Pestle & Mortar (2019). The last winners in 2021 were Bevcraft, who were supported by Local Enterprise Office Westmeath. Europe’s only mobile canning company have gone from strength to strength since winning the award opening new hubs across the continent.

 The National Enterprise Awards are one of a number of initiatives that the Local Enterprise Offices run, to foster entrepreneurship across the country. Others include Local Enterprise Week, the Student Enterprise Programme, National Women’s Enterprise Day and Local Enterprise Showcase. The Local Enterprise Offices in local authorities are funded by the Government of Ireland through Enterprise Ireland.
