Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur Regional Final 2016

(Kildare, Laois, Offaly & Westmeath)

Offaly's IBYE County Winners will progress to the Regional Finals on the 1st February in The Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise. The ceremony will commence at 2 pm. Our recent IBYE county winners will face stiff competition from the county winners in Kildare, Laois & Westmeath at the Regional Final.

In total 3 Category Winners will be selected from the region to progress to the National Final.

Representing Offaly are:

Darragh Egan, 24, from Mountbolus, Tullamore in the Best Business Idea category.

• Invented “The Easy Arm” which is designed to lift a ring feeder over a bale on a modified standard bale handler.

John Clendennen, 34 from Giltraps Glamping in Kinnitty in the Best Business Start Up category.

• Giltraps Glamping provides an alternative type of accommodation currently consisting of six Log Cabins and one Mongolian Yurt. John’s unique accommodation centre offers a novelty factor for customers. 

Jesse Morris, 32, TAG Media Ltd T/A Dezynamite in Tullamore in the Best Established Business category.

• Set up this graphic design company in 2007 in Tullamore. Currently employs 8 people. They offer services including: Graphic Design, Print Design, Web Design & Web Development, Printing, Branded Products, Merchandise.
