Local Enterprise Offices back Start Up Gathering with over 90 Enterprise Events across Ireland

 The Network of Local Enterprise Offices as part of their Autumn/Winter Training & development schedules are hosting over 90 events to support the Start Up Gathering 2015 which aims to increase the level of Start Up's in Ireland. Over 300 events will take place between 5th-10th October in Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Limerick and Galway and across the country with the aim of increasing the level of start up's in Ireland by 2020.

 Since the Local Enterprise Offices establishment in 2014 as part of the Local Authority Network the  offices have worked in synergy with a number of organizations in order to achieve real results on the ground with the creation of over 4000 jobs during 2015 as well as spearheading a number of local , national and international initiatives. These have included Food Academy, Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur, Trading Online Vouchers and a myriad of other Local, Regional and National Supports.

 Speaking about the events hosted by the Network of Local Enterprise Offices as part of the Start Up Gathering, Kieran Comerford, Chairperson of the Network of Local Enterprise Offices said “the Local Enterprise Offices have really got behind the Start Up Gathering by hosting over 90 events which include everything from young entrepreneur events, enterprise clinics, start up and development courses and a major schedule of events for Fingal Enterprise Week”.

 Paul Reid , Chief Executive of Fingal County Council , speaking on behalf of the Local Authorities said “The Local Authorities are delighted to support the development of a start up enterprise culture across Ireland and see these activities as an essential tool in supporting the SME sector” , Reid continued to say “since their establishment the Local Enterprise Offices have made a significant contribution to the already extensive work carried out by Local Authorities in the area of Economic Development in a variety of initiatives”.

 Orla Martin, Head of LEO Offaly outlined details of the How to Market your Business Effectively course which will take place on Tuesday, 6th October in the Central Hotel, Tullamore.  This course is designed to enable participants to be able to create awareness of their business, develop contacts, identify prospective customers, make sales and network their business, at little or no cost.
