Loads of free and exciting events taking place in Offaly during Local Enterprise Week 2019.

Local Enterprise Week 2019 runs from 4 – 8 March, and many exciting events have been announced to support and upskill small businesses and the self-employed in Offaly!

 All that week, Local Enterprise Office Offaly will be running FREE consultation clinics, workshops and events, to boost entrepreneurial culture in Offaly. If you are considering starting a business, have a fledgling business, or would like to scale up, diversify or export, the Enterprise Week events are a must for you. Both local and national business leaders are involved in the programmes, to offer their guidance and expertise on getting started, business planning, marketing and funding your business, exporting or Ecommerce.

 Speaking on behalf of Local Enterprise Office Offaly, Orla Martin, Head of Enterprise said “Enterprise Week gives us a chance to showcase the robust supports we deliver to businesses in Offaly. Whether a business needs a grant, business training, or specialist one-to-one mentoring, they can avail of it here - often for FREE. We have extensive experience in assisting small business start ups”.

Enterprise Week packs in a lot of activity over a few days. The events take place all over the County, and the training is delivered by successful people who have navigated the market as business owners themselves. 

Some highlights include

• Best-selling author and International Business Consultant, the inspiring Blaise Brosnan, will ask the business community “ARE YOU AFRAID TO MAKE MONEY?” during a Breakfast session on success in Tullamore on March 7th
• Representatives from Grow Remote Ireland, Shopify, and AirBnB will outline the pros and cons of remote working on March 8th. Remote working is a fast-growing solution for the digital age, which counters overpriced city accommodation, enables rural employment, and solves many work-life balance issues.
• With March 29th around the corner, there is a workshop on Brexit scheduled for March 5th, to help Offaly businesses be conscious of the risks they might be facing, and aware of the support that’s there to help overcome them.  This event is organised in association with Edenderry and Local District Chamber of Commerce.  

These events are highly relevant for today’s business environment. Additional workshops cover HR Issues, Financial Management, Digital Marketing, and Ecommerce.
