This month's ONE Network meeting talk is "How to Make the Most of Trade Shows” with Aileen Duffy.
Most businesses at some point or another will attend a trade show. They can be an expensive and time consuming method of attracting potential customers. So how to you make the most of them?
Aileen will cover the following topics:
- Types of Show's (trade, consumer, outdoor, indoor)
- Basic principles of merchandising
- Designing your stand
- Setting up and take down
- Displaying work in a confined area
- Shared stands
- Visual examples of good and bad design
- Promoting/selling your work
About the Speaker:
Aileen Duffy is a professional advisor and project facilitator working in the creative and innovation sector since 1996. In her work she provides support and guidance to individuals, groups and networks, and also facilitates projects nationally and internationally. She is experienced in working with multiple funding bodies on coordinated inter-agency projects and was the Irish coordinator for Irish Finnish Transnational Craft Project 2011 - 2014. She has worked with individual businesses assisting them prepare for fairs and events. She has project managed the craft sections at Bloom, RDS National Craft & Design Fair and Mancha Blanca Craft Fair, Lanzarote for the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland and assisted with the planning and design for local and national events for numerous local agencies.
