Invite to Tender

Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Roscommon intends to offer the following Training to micro-enterprises based in County Roscommon during the last quarter of 2015.

Overview

LEO Roscommon would welcome specifications and prices from interested, suitably qualified parties regarding delivery of theTraining listed below.

Prices submitted must be inclusive of all costs relating to the training initiative, with the exception of training venue costs, which will be borne by LEO Roscommon. Any costs associated with the preparation and/or submission of specifications are to be borne by the parties tendering and are in no way attributable to LEO Roscommon.

Submissions must include a current, up-to-date copy of both tax clearance certificate and professional indemnity insurance.

All submissions received and contract awarded are dependent on demand for places on the training, availability of funding to LEO Roscommon and priorities set by LEO Roscommon.

LEO Roscommon reserves the right to postpone or cancel the training, even after award, if there is insufficient demand or subject to funding availability.

Instructions

Tender proposal must include the following information:

  • A profile of your business.
  • Details and qualifications of trainer(s) who would deliver the programme.
  • Relevant experience in delivering such training to the micro-enterprise sector, including names of other Local Enterprise Offices / agencies / organisations that you have delivered similar training for in the recent past.
  • The content of each programme to be delivered and methodology employed.
  • The overall cost of each programme with a full breakdown of all costs, where appropriate.
  • Participant number capacity on the training, where appropriate.
  • Flexibility to deliver the training, whether daytime or evening.
  • Copy of current valid tax clearance certificate and professional indemnity insurance.

Tenders will be awarded based on the most advantageous submissions, using the following criteria:

  • Price (30 marks)
  • Content, methodology, quality & any additionality (40 marks)
  • Relevant experience and expertise (30 marks)

Programmes:

BOOK-KEEPING FOR THE SMALL BUSINESS

Objective: to ensure participants are familiar with the books they need to maintain to meet revenue and legal requirements. This is an essential course for ALL small businesses and those interested in gaining this fundamental book-keeping skill. To include: recording sales and purchases; cash/bank accounts; PAYE/PRSI/USC; VAT records; payroll; income and preliminary tax; cashflow statements, etc. Practical examples will be worked through.

Duration: Four, 3-hour workshops.

SOCIAL MEDIA TRAINING

Objective: To further advance knowledge of the business community who have already availed of the Introduction to Social Media Marketing training.

Permission Email Marketing with MailChimp 

This programme should give attendees the skills to create their own electronic newsletter campaigns, using templates and lists on the MailChimp platform and show how to integrate sign-up forms onto their Facebook Page and website.

Duration: Two, 3-hour workshops.

Search Engine Optimisation & Building a Website with Wordpress.org

Using the wordpress.org blog-based platform, this programme should give attendees the skills to create their own multi-page website and demonstrate how to choose keywords and optimise their site for key search terms.

Duration: Two, 3-hour workshops.

Google Analytics & Webmaster Tools

This programme should give participants a basic overview of the functions of both Analytics and Webmaster Tools (now known as Search Console). Participants should learn how to submit their sitemap and generate reports that will help them gain market knowledge.

Duration: Two, 3-hour workshops.

Facebook & Twitter for Business – Advanced

This programme should demonstrate intermediate and advanced usage of both social media platforms to those who are already present on both. This should cover advertising options, insights, Facebook pixels and linking with the participants’ other online marketing.

Duration: Two, 3-hour workshops.
