THIS IS A SIX WEEK (one evening per week) 'HYBRID' TRAINING COURSE WITH A MIXTURE OF IN PERSON & REMOTE MODULES: 

The First (April 23rd) & Final Modules (May 28th) of this Six Week Course will take place at The Abbey Hotel Roscommon, Roscommon Town. All other Modules (Two, Three, Four & Five) will take place Remotely via ZOOM. 

This six-week (one evening per week) course is suitable for anyone thinking of starting a business or who has recently done so.

Start Your Own Business Course is for individuals to learn & develop the necessary skills and knowledge to start their own business. This course aims to build your confidence, to network you with others on the course & to guide you to sources of further supports for the future.

Aim: The aim of this programme is to provide potential and existing entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge to start and manage their own small business.This six-module course is aimed at people of all skill levels, who are interested in starting their own business. Topics include business planning, marketing, legal structure, insurance, registering with Revenue and financial projections. The presentations will include a combination of practical activities, case studies and business templates to help develop the range of skills needed to start your own business.

Content: This training programme has been developed by Meehan Tully & Associates and contains modules that have been successfully presented to hundreds of small business throughout the BMW Region for over 30 years.

The opening section will introduce the participants to the idea of starting a small business. It will explore the characteristics of small businesses and will discuss the principal skills needed to start-up and run a business. Real-life case studies of small businesses will be presented to the participants.
